To our wonderful patients and families, we hope you are all doing well!
We are excited to be back seeing non-urgent patients in the clinic. The following practices have now been put in place for your continued safety:
In accordance with the College of Optometrists of Ontario, all patients and accompanying family members must be wearing face masks at all times. Upon entering the clinic, everyone’s hands must be washed or hand sanitizer must be used.
All staff will be wearing face masks and face shields when necessary (i.e. when we are within 2 meters of another person). The entire staff is committed to not come to the clinic if we are feeling unwell. We ask that you call to reschedule any in-office appointments if you are unwell, if you have travelled outside of Canada in the prior 14 days or have come into contact with a known COVID-19 patient.
In an effort to make disinfecting the office between patients more efficient, we have removed all toys, books and magazines from the waiting room. Also, there are only 3 available chairs for patients who are waiting so that we can maintain the physical distancing protocols as set out by the Ministry of Health. Because of these changes, we ask that you bring something to entertain yourselves while waiting. If at all possible, please come with no more than one guest.
If you have any suggestions on how to make this new situation more comfortable for everyone, please let us know! We’re all learning how to navigate the “new normal” in these unprecedented times.
During your appointment, we will only be using equipment that can be properly cleaned and disinfected between patients.
Wishing you continued good health,
Doctors & Staff
