MiyoSmart is a Smart Approach to Myopia
At Toronto Vision Therapy and Optometry, we aim to provide our patients with the most up to date technology. Launched in summer 2020, the Miyosmart glasses lens prevents the progression of myopia by around 60%. It contains the revolutionary DIMS technology. Myopia is a condition, generally caused by an elongation of the eye, where a person struggles to see objects at a distance. Children may exhibit signs and symptoms including: blurry vision, squinting, excessive blinking, frequent headaches and rubbing of the eyes. The concern with myopia, especially higher degrees of myopia, is that it puts a person at an increased risk for glaucoma, retinal tears and detachments and degeneration of the eye.
