As part of her clinical training, Dr. Chan completed an ocular disease internship in Florida, where she gained extensive experience in the diagnosis and management of glaucoma, cataracts, macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, and dry eye conditions. She also received training in Richmond Hill, which focused on myopia control with orthokeratology lenses, contact lenses, and LASIK and cataract surgery co-management.
During her studies, Dr. Chan also participated in a volunteer eyecare mission trip to Honduras, where she provided optometric care to under-serviced communities.
Dr. Chan is fluent in English and Cantonese, and can communicate in Mandarin. In her spare time, she enjoys going to the gym, drinking bubble tea, and traveling.
